Video is 1024×576 resolution encoded by x265 in 10bit profile with CRF=17. PP this time is IVTC, complex dehalo, upconvert, light denoise/degrain and deband. Audio track is Japanese stereo FLAC tracks in 48kHz 16bit. Chapters included.
R2J DVDs have somewhat bad quality. Tons variations of artifacts starting from strong halo, telecine errors, cross conversion and some other artifacts. Same as 2004 TV series.
For this one I’ve used my MFC methods to get stable and clean progressive video – free of combed frames, interlaced artifacts and other IVTC related stuff. Video have all time constant 23.976fps that plays smoothly on true cinema tv.
For this release only Japanese subtitles available from R2J itself, I hope someone will make proper subtitles to all episodes in future.
