Lock ON! Plug IN! JUUDEN! OH YEAH! Ecchi is coming! Awesome and lovely ecchi comedy is back in High Definition! Video is 1280×720 resolution encoded by x264 in 10bit profile with CRF=15. PP this time is adjustable cross-conversion correction to 720p, light denoise/degrain, dehalo and deband (and no sharpen is applied). Audio tracks is stereo FLAC tracks in 48kHz 16bit for japanese and AAC with QAAC TVBR 127 (lossy max quality settings) for english dub. OVA’s have only japanese audio. Chapters included.
“A” region Bluray have interlaced cross-converted 720p source which is quite hard to restore. There are many problem places with combing (SC,mouth, residual), mismatching in fade-in and fade-outs in automatic IVTC. This is some work for my MFC methods on Bluray this time! 🙂 I can say that almost every deinterlacing issues was eliminated succesfully as well as some places with jittering(caused by decimate mismatching). True HD elements like end titles were a bit suffered (but still looks ok) by correction and i don’t know how to handle it in this case.
Here some screenshot comparison with downscaled BD. OVA comparison [NSFW] We have all time constant 23.976fps that plays smoothly on true cinema tv.
English subs from Bluray. English subs for OVA from [SHiN-gx] release. External russian subs by Arytun (re-timed from dvd version).
Download it. The OVA. Alternative links
Any reason why subs don’t appear?

“using MPC-HC
Go to Options->Playback and check the box next to “Use the built-in subtitle renderer.”
After saving the changes AND restarting MPC-HC, I was able to select and see the English subs.”
Subs are PGS Bluray subs that can play on MPC-HC, VLC and other players. Check sub settings.

Can’t seem to check it. Could be a conflict with LAV or something. (Am using the latest CCCP, though.)

I’ve figured it out.
It’s due to the fact I use Overlay Mixer.
